Black Hills Rock Climbing Meet-Up

Chick Climber is more than just a climbing group—it’s a life group rooted in faith and fellowship through Bethel Church. While climbing is central to what we do, our true mission is sharing the love of Christ as we journey together. This year, we’re embracing the theme of COURAGE, empowering women to face challenges boldly—on and off the rock.

Courage is essential in facing life’s challenges, standing for truth, and pursuing what is right despite fear or opposition. The Bible reminds us that true courage comes from trusting in God’s presence and promises. In Joshua 1:9, God commands, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” When we rely on God’s strength rather than our own, we find the boldness to overcome fear and walk confidently in His will, knowing He is with us every step of the way.

The Basics

• No experience necessary!
• All levels are welcome for ages 13 and older!
• Gear is not required to join. Harnesses, belay device, chalk bag and shoes are available for your first three visits.
• There is no cost to attend. This is a women’s ministry small group with Bethel Church.
• You do not have to be a member of Bethel Church to participate.
• Each meetup is limited to 15 attendees. Registration is required for each meetup.
• We are not certified instructors. This is a free ministry meetup event, not instruction by certified trainers. We do everything we can to mitigate risk. You must assume personal responsibility for your own safety.
• We will offer basic instructions on AMGA standards for top rope belay. There will opportunities for more advanced climbing skills if desired.
• Rock climbing can be dangerous. While we do take precautions and emphasize safety, by climbing with us, you assume personal responsibility for your own safety. 
• Childcare is not available.
