God’s Plan: Stepping Into What He Has For Me Next

Isaiah 52:7 says, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news.”

For the past ten years, that verse has been our anchor. I am deeply grateful to each of you—for our leaders and for the women who have devoted so much time, energy, and love to making this ministry possible.

As we celebrate this milestone, I also recognize it is time for me to step into what God has next. Knowing that doesn’t make the transition any easier, because I love you all so much. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve alongside you, to share Christ, and to climb together.

When I reflect on the past ten years, two passions stand out: our love for Jesus and our love for climbing. What a gift it has been to bring those two things together for hundreds of women—many of whom might never have discovered climbing, and many who might not have encountered Jesus, if not for this group. My heart overflows when I see women like Denise, Mikayla, and Becki now taking their families out to climb because they first learned here. How incredible is that?

This ministry has been a tremendous blessing. I want you to know that I will continue praying for each of you. I don’t yet know exactly what God has in store, but He has been stirring new visions in my heart for Chick Climber’s future. The next step for me is pursuing my Single Pitch Instructor certification. My hope is to create a nonprofit that supports women recovering from trauma—using climbing as a tool for healing and transformation, while sharing the love of Christ with them.

That journey won’t be easy. I’ll also need to complete my Wilderness First Responder training, and I would be so grateful for your prayers as I work through those challenges. I’ll keep you updated along the way—through social media and personal connections. And if we host Climbers for Christ meetups or have free weekends for group climbs, I’ll be sure to let you know. Things may look a little different moving forward, but I don’t want to lose touch with you. Please know how much I love you all.

What God has for me next. Saying farewell to these great ladies.... for now

Let me close us in prayer.

Lord, I thank You for ten incredible years of sharing Christ and climbing with these women. Thank You for calling me to lead and for all that You have accomplished through this ministry. I praise You for what You’ve done, and I trust You for what You will continue to do—not only in my life, but in the lives of these women who have grown so much.

We give You all the glory today. Open our eyes and ears to see and hear what You are doing. For those in need of prayer, Lord, meet them with Your love. Keep us safe, and guide us to glorify You in all that we do. We lift this up in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
