Teach Me to Love

Teach me to love as you have loved meLord, train me to think and respond to the challenges I face in my work, family, and nation with boldness as Your servant. Holy Spirit, fill me with gratitude, praise and courage to live for Christ each and every day.

This is my prayer. Let all my actions reflect who You are, and what You have done. I desire Your Spirit to live in me, and flow out of me as I love those who cross my path. Walk beside me, live in me, work through me! Change my attitude where it needs changing. Strengthen my resolve, speak to my heart, and guide my steps. Help me to love the way You loved me. Help me to cherish the way you cherished me. Help me to reach others the way You have reached me. May every action in my day be an act of worship to you, both in my thoughts, and in my service.

God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” – Philippians 2:13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. – 1 Corinthians: 4-7
